'YouTube Made Me Buy' #2: Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Light

Hi guys,

This is my second post of 'YouTube Made Me Buy' series and I decided to go ahead with Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Light.

To be honest, I used to own this powder a while ago in shade medium long before contouring was a thing. I remember liking it but it wasn't getting used that often, so gave it to a friend. In the beginning of this year, I came across quite a lot of beauty YouTubers talking about the launch of new shades of the powder so decided to give another go with a new shade- light.

Unfortunately, the packaging now has changed and it doesn't come with the brush and I believe even less product. I do hate when brands do that but what can we do... ;-(  However, the good news is that the shade light is perfect for my light yellow-based skintone and I found reaching for the product more often, if not everyday(!). The texture of this powder is just like what I remember from the shade medium- so buttery and almost zero fallouts. FYI, I use Real Techniques Contouring Brush which comes in their Core Collection or Spectrum Collections Tapered Finishing Brush which came in a Birchbox a few months ago to apply the powder and I think they both are great!

I also found the shade perfect for contouring my eyelids: subtle but effective. Overall, I am very happy with the product which means that this is definitely one of those products that is totally worth the hype. I would recommend the powder to anyone who has fair/light skintone or light-medium skintone and afraid of highly pigmented powders. ;-)

Thanks for reading xxx
