'God sent' Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Hello, everyone!

I know I am little late on this bandwagon, but frankly speaking, after spending a fortune on discovering new items (and a lot of fails), I decided to go a little late than early. Besides saving money, it saves a lot of hassles to chase the actual products, too. As long as I remember, Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette was always sold out everywhere when it first came out (which was about two Christmas ago). It's now available on Debenhams and price has gone down as well (even better!).

I remember this palette price being £45 and the price seems to have gone down to RRP £39 since the news Chocolate Bar Palette 2 being released. I am not sure about the availability in the USA, but in the UK, we only have about three options to get this baby; Debenhams, BeautyBay.com & Amazon (UK). I highly recommend to purchase on Debenhams though because their price is the most competitive. On BeautyBay.com, it is still priced at £45 and Amazon at whopping £47.09(!). In addition, Debenhams do offer a click & collect service for free of charge; who likes to pay extra for shipping?

Anyway, enough gibberish about how I got my hands on this baby.
Now, let's look at inside.

Honestly, the palette offers one of the best eyeshadow collections EVER. Most of these are very neutral (very friendly for everyday wear) with a hint of unique colours such as Cherry Cordial (beautiful burgundy), Candied Violet (irediscent blue-y purple) and Gilded Ganache (shimmery Khaki). All shades are very buttery and easy to blend, except for Gilded Ganache which has chunks of glitters, thus having a little bit of fallout.

I do own quite a few eyeshadow palettes from Urban Decay, Balm Cosmetics, Paula's Choice, Sleek, etc. and this is definitely one of my favourite (if not, dare I say it, 'the' favourite palette). As you might have already heard from so many beauty bloggers and YouTubers, the palette smells like chocolate; not the fake smell, but genuine, very nice quality chocolate smell just like the ones you get from Hotel Chocolat. When I purchased, I didn't think I would like the palette as much as I do now; since the first use, this palette has replaced pretty much all the other palettes in my collection. This is definitely the first one that I go for in the morning and one of the nicest thing about the palette is that I don't need any other palette to create an entire look because it has everything that I need.

I like the packaging, too. The old one (when it first came out), it was a little bulky but since then, Too Faced has changed the packaging to a little more sleek and slim side. There is a nice size mirror inside the palette which is very handy when travelling.

One downside of the palette is that eyeshadow names are not printed next to (or below) the eyeshadows themselves. Not that it makes tons of difference when doing my makeup in the morning but these names do make me feel extra happy and I wish I knew exactly which shades I am using. I guess I am probably too little picky about this kind of stuff but I am sure if you are not a smarty pants like myself, the palette will be just fine as it is. ;-)

Have you ever tried Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette?  What are your thoughts?
