Here, I am going to review Clarins Paris Daily Energiser Lotion SPF 15.
I got it from a Clarins goody bag received last Christmas. I did a little search before writing this post and have a feeling that this might have been discontinued because I can't find it anywhere. If true, this is a real shame because it is a WONDERFUL spring/summer moisturiser.
It is a very lightweight, soft, oil-free moisturiser with an added SPF. I don't think SPF 15 is strong enough to protect the skin from the sun in spring/summer but a bit of extra is always welcome as I like to layer sunscreen. It is instantly absorbed without any sticky feeling. Ingredient-wise, it makes several claims, including:
- the combination of Vitamin C, Alchemical and Turmeric extracts help reduce minor imperfections; and
- Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract boosts microcirculation.
I am not very sure about the first claim. To be honest, the sample size is only 5ml and it is barely enough to notice any visible difference. But I didn't experience any new imperfections during three weeks that I was testing this product out.
I definitely agree with the second claim. It makes my skin feeling deliciously supple and at the same time, mattified. My skin is visibly radiant but not shiny; yes, it is possible.
Would I purchase a full-size product?
Yes, definitely.
I really hope that Clarins didn't discontinue this product. To me, the entire collection, Daily Energizer, seems incomplete without the lotion. ;-( Please do let me know if you have any information. I am really sorry if this review is too late but hopefully enough of us read it and Clarins realises that they need to reintroduce this back to our lives.
Thanks for reading!
